* * * SHORT ORDERS COOK * * * $ 10 per hour.....plus $150 BONUS after 120 days!!
OVERVIEW: Short Order Cooks are production personnel and responsible for the flow and quality of short order menu items. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: · Prepare and store raw and cooked products properly · Precisely prepare and cook food in a timely manner to customer satisfaction and safety · Accurately handle, control and disperse product · Clean and order food for the kitchen · Keep kitchen prep areas, floors, storerooms and walk-ins clean, organized and sanitized · Daily scan requisition sheets to ensure proper amounts were delivered SECONDARY FUNCTIONS: · Maintain par levels as designated by the Chef · Operate and maintain all equipment / tools · Organize and plan menus · Flexible to work within any area of Food & Beverage · Perform other duties as assigned by Management PERFORMANCE STANDARDS: · Meet all regulations pertaining to health, safety and personal hygiene in accordance with City, State, and Federal laws · Comply with Company / Department policies, including attendance · Must not present a direct threat to health, safety or the welfare of fellow employees or others · Treat all guests, vendors and employees with courtesy, respect, fairness and consistency · Professional in appearance, grooming and behavior · Ability to interpret and complete all communications received and submitted · Abide by portion control standards · May be required to be certified under food handlers program MACHINE / EQUIPMENT / TOOLS USED: Dishwasher, food processor, steamers, ovens, microwave, knives, heat lamp, broilers, proof box, meat slicer, mixers, steam table, alto sham, fryolators, can opener, pots, pans, stoves, salamanders, hot box, buffalo chopper, potato peeler, grill and other SAFETY EQUIPMENT: Fire extinguisher, rubber gloves and thermometer QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE: · Minimum 1 year cooking experience · Aptitude in culinary technical skills · Understanding of culinary terms and production techniques · Skilled in cutting working with various knives · Commercial grill cooking experience · Knowledge of safety temperature control on refrigerator, freezer and cooked foods WORKING CONDITIONS: · Potential exposure to outdoor / indoor elements and air conditioning / heat · Walking, climbing, squatting, stooping, bending, kneeling and reaching · Continuous motion without sitting for minimum of 2 hours · Occasional lifting (minimum of 25 lbs.) · Exposure to various cleaning solutions and sanitizers · Overtime work on “as needed” basis

OVERVIEW: JANUARY 2012 Perform duties to maintain natural environment and landscaped areas of company grounds and dog track. OVERVIEW: Walk Greyhounds out for official races. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: · Maintain proper care of the Greyhounds when leading them from the paddock area, down the track, to the starting box for their appointed race SECONDARY FUNCTIONS: · Ensure that each dog has the racing blanket, leash and muzzle on correctly · Perform other duties as assigned by Management PERFORMANCE STANDARDS: · Meet all regulations pertaining to health, safety and personal hygiene in accordance with City, State, and Federal laws · Comply with Company / Department policies, including attendance · Must not present a direct threat to health, safety or the welfare of fellow employees or others · Treat all guests, vendors and employees with courtesy, respect, fairness and consistency · Professional in appearance, grooming and behavior · Respond in a timely manner to all guests and employees · Mandatory Pari-Mutuel license to comply with the State of Florida, Department of Professional Regulations MACHINE / EQUIPMENT / TOOLS USED: Sturdy running shoes QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE: · Dog handling skills · Ability to interpret and complete all communications received and submitted · Physically fit is essential, must be able to lift up to 90 lbs greyhound chest height without injuring the greyhound or yourself. OVERVIEW: Responsible for cleaning all areas assigned and maintaining compliance with the regulations of the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA); works under the direction and policies of the employer.
