Racing Greyhounds have been described many times as "poetry in motion."
Today's photo is just that. They are powerful contenders built for speed.
And it appears they really can fly! 
Tuesday notes:
Race 1: Godfather is overdue for a win. The double grade drop should score a
victory in the first half of the Daily Double tonight.
Race 2: It could be a D'Arcy double if Greys Solidangle wins. He is lighting
the board in grade C. Wanna Rumble, whose littersister won her sprint race
easily last night, could win over the longer 660-yard tonight.
Race 6: Kiowa Bingo Man is back on track after a two month layoff. The
McAllister star is rested and ready. Kiowa More BC is expected to be his
strongest early threat.
Race 8: Kay Buffalo Bill has been moved back to the longer course and is
favorably posted in the one box. Rainingonsunday will be a late threat as
well as Bill's kennelmate Kiowa Chilton. Reward Dee who was nipped at the
wire last start could be back with a vengeance.
Race 10: McAllister could pick up the quiniela in this race with Flying
Brando positioned on the rail and Flying Chain in the outside eight. Jack's
Gladiator is seeking the hat trick among the field and if he gets a clean
break from post seven he could continue his winning spree.
Race 14: Beautiful N Red is a littersister to Wanna Rumble that is featured
in race two tonight. Both could score victories for Magic City. Dulys Cya
Later is the program favorite to wrap up tonight's racing.
A personal note:
The Woodlands Greyhound racetrack in KS announced that it is closing August
24. There is a petition that can be signed for the state to reconsider
negotiating with the track. Whether you live in the state or not, please
consider signing the petition. Kansas is the heart of the sport and the main
artery of the entire industry. For the record, the greyhounds housed at the
Woodlands are being taken care of. And like other track closings those
greyhounds that won't race at other tracks, will be adopted. False emails
are circulating that would have one believing otherwise. The National
Greyhound Association and Greyhound Pets of America along with other
adoption groups are overseeing the pet placements. If you are interested

Weekend News
Friday Night Birthday Bash for Mason Dixon
Derby Lane will help Q105 Morning Show's Mason Dixon celebrate his birthday
tonight (Friday) with several activities on track. There will be $1.05
concession specials along with prize giveaways that include tickets to see
Mamma Mia, a weekend at the Tradewinds and more. And for our poker players
there will be a special tournament for Mason's fans in the Derby Club.
Admission is free. Gates open at 6:30 PM.
This morning Ardkill Jamie visited Mason in the studio. Jamie was donning a
special blanket that wished Mason Happy Birthday on behalf of all the
greyhounds and kennels racing at Derby Lane. Join us Friday night. It will
be a GREYT time. And anyone interested in adopting a greyhound should visit
tonight as Greyhound Pets of America Tampa Bay will be on track with
greyhounds and lots of information.

Friday notes:
Race 2: Artic Mist, who was reported as a littermate to the Evening Blossom
group is actually a litterbrother to last year's All American Dreamy
Blossom. Same breeding line, but different whelping date. Artic Mist just
moved up and might have a tough time at a repeat win with grade drops TMC's
Smokin and Funny Aiden in the race. Mist has the fastest time of the field
and if he gets out early, there will be no catching him.
Race 6: Kaias Sequoyah's streak was halted when the male was knocked down in
his last start. He will be a favorite again tonight against another
speedster Kiowa Ice Man. Craigie Penske is seeking the hat trick and might
get it if he can avoid any trouble.
Race 8: Greys Blak Smith gave a winning effort last and was just a nose from
victory. He should compete with the same determination tonight.
Rainingonsunday has also been trying hard and is still seeking that first
win this season.
Race 10: Jack's Cupid competes from the rail pole for a third consecutive
start. He barely missed collecting two in a row last start and could upset
the morning line favorite, Ballet Lady, in post two.
Saturday matinee:
Race 6: Greys Bricklayer is overdue for a win. Pro Jack is lighting the
board consistently in the top grade. Kiowa Dashing makes his debut from
Flagler.
Race 10: Reward Trent has begun the season strong with three wins in his
five starts. He hopes to make it four today from a favorable rail posting.
EL Moonstruck who has a recent pattern of winning every other race will
score tonight if he continues to follow that pattern.
Race 13: Spoke is seeking his third win in four official starts. The
juvenile is moving up the graded ladder and will be tested against several
veterans in the field.
Saturday evening:
Race 6: Flying Macbeth is seeking five in a row Saturday night. He faces off
with TMC's Trail Boss who is seeking the hat trick in the field.
Race 8: Kiowa Sara Shook held under pressure scoring her second distance
win. She seeks the hat trick in a repeat match against several of her rivals
from the Wednesday night race.
Race 9: Evening Blossom is back after her grade C win Wednesday. The pup
with just six official starts, has a pattern of slowly breaking and rushing
late. She might not be able to catch Kiowa Manley-the known box breaker who
could score the win with an early lead.
Race 10: Red Dirt Road had his streak snapped by a nose last week. The top
dog from last meet is poised to begin another streak tonight.
Race 12: El Popeye is going for three in a row but might have a tough time
of it with Flying Nirvana next to him. Nirvana just missed the win last
start and should put forth a strong effort tonight. M's Westpoint who won
his last start drew the coveted rail pole that might see him repeat.

Derby Lane contributes to All Children's successful Telethon
Along with providing a great entertainment complex in Pinellas County, Derby
Lane also contributes to various local charities including All Children's
Hospital that was established one year after Derby Lane. Director of
Community and Government affairs Andrea Winning presented a check from Derby
Lane to aid the Hospital's Telethon.

The 2008 Children's Miracle Network Telethon was a $4,212,804 success.
Winning reported that not only was it a local success, nationally the
Telethon placed first in toteboard total, first in number of pledges and
third in phone income. All Children's Hospital thanked the thousands of
generous donors and volunteers who participated in this year's Telethon.
All Children's Hospital is the only specialty licensed children's hospital
on Florida's West Coast. Founded in 1926, All Children's has grown into a
leading pediatric referral center that is dedicated to advancing treatment,
education, research and advocacy in child health. In January 2007, ''Child
magazine named All Childrens one of the top 25 childrens hospitals in North

Flying Macbeth continues winning spree
Wednesday night Flying Macbeth added another win to the top McAllister
kennel when he scored four in a row in a seven-length victory. Macbeth kept
his 100% money record in tact and the win was his fourth in six starts
during the new meet.
Thursday night notes:
TWO FOR ONE FAJITAS TONIGHT
Tonight and every Thursday night in the Sports Bar are the two for one

Race 1: Starz Ming just missed by a nose last start and should put forth the
same winning effort and bring in the first half of the Daily Double.
Race 2: Litterbrothers compete for the back half of the Daily Double.
Craigie Dandyman from Floyd & Porter and Craigie Willcall (Abernathy) seek
the maiden win.
Race 6: Although he drew box five, Born To Dream could score another top
grade win. He will be a favorite along with Jack's Gladiator who also won
his last start and BBR Flyin Easy who has been a consistent superfecta
finisher.
Race 10: Flyin Home Depot is featured on the Watch Dog's "Hot race of the
week" that depicts last week's showdown with Depot and Red Dirt Road. Home
Depot is seeking the hat trick and is sure to be the crowd pleaser tonight.
Jack Speedster who will wear the same eight blanket that he scored a box to
wire win from two starts ago might upset Depot's streak.

Flying Macbeth seeks four straight tonight
McAllister kennel's Flying Macbeth is going for four in a row in race 13
Wednesday night. The impressive male who hit the pay sheet 64 out of 70
starts last season and won over half of his starts is still impressive a
year later. Macbeth drew post one and his biggest threat could be his
kennelmate Flying Snap Off. Both greyhounds posted significant wins last
meet. Snap Off marked McAllister's 500th win last meet and Macbeth began the
push over 600 that was part of McAllister's record-setting year.
Macbeth has continued to be one of McAllister's top performers this season
too. McAllister remains on top approximately ten wins in front of Filipelli & O'Donnell. Magic City is third and D'Arcy kennel is in fourth place. A
two-way tie for the fifth place is between Abernathy and Rian.
Last night's racing saw Floyd & Porter kick off the night with three
consecutive victories. They added another later in the night with four wins
on the card. Tonight, Legends Field heads to post in race 11 for the kennel.
Legend's brother's Brady Thomas and Hometown Boy were retired last season.
Legend is far from retirement.
Wednesday night notes:
Race 2: PDQ Turquoise is seeking three in a row.
Race 4: Craigie Afresh is one of two littermates featured tonight. Afresh
has been the betting favorite in his first two starts and should break
Maiden tonight. His littersister Craigie Accent competes in race seven.
Race 6: Flying Brando seeks the hat trick against Flying Swale who went box
to wire in last Friday's schooling races.
Race 8: Flying Dawn and Fly Bye Popstar are matched again along with strong
contenders that include Dawn's littersister Flying Midnite, Castle Princess
and Sheriff Dawson. Fly Bye Popstar and Kelsos Jackflash are the only
males in this female dominated race.
Race 11: Legends Field seeks the win but CTW Westernstyle and Flying
Swindler are both looking to score three consecutive wins tonight.
Race 12: Extruder who won her maiden by six lengths on Saturday hopes the
late race won't keep her from a race repeat. Backwood Bruiser who won
back-to-back races at Palm Beach, makes his debut in the race as well.
Race 13: Flying Macbeth goes for four in a row.

Famed greyhound dies at age 20
Last night Fox 13 News Anchor Cynthia Smoot did a follow up story that she
presented several months ago about Genie-the greyhound that was turning 20
years old. Genie was adopted by Neena and Tim Derf ten years ago through
Greyhound Pets of America in Tampa Bay. Genie enjoyed a lavish retirement
and was not just an average pet-Genie even saved Tim's life when she alerted
him to a fire.
The Derf's have attended many greyhound reunions with Genie. GPA Tampa Bay
provided the photos of Genie for this news. Over the years Genie became
quite the adoption ambassador. Genie was believed to be the oldest living
greyhound and quite possibly, the oldest greyhound in the world. Genie had
her own party at the Greyhound Pets of America Poker Run in April where they
presented her with a cake from all her pals at Derby Lane and many of her
greyhound buddies were there.
Genie was truly exceptional and our hearts go out to the Derf's. Thank you
for giving Genie such a wonderful home and sharing Genie with the world.
She was well-loved by many and will be missed by all.

Tuesday notes:
Race 1: Pups from Magic City and D'Arcy are receiving much attention this
month. Last night Magic City's Dream Deliverer, a female from the Extruding
Dream x USS Top Dolly litter, romped in a ten-length victory. Tonight, her
sister Exceeded Dream might have cinched the first race of the evening, but
with D'Arcy's Fearless Fella who is a repeat breeding of Maryville Rumble* x
Valoris that produced last year's All American Dreamy Blossom, Exceeded
Dream might have to settle for less. Fearless Fella dominated in schooling
and put the field away in his maiden debut last week. Fella's brother Arctic
Mist left the field in a seven-length wake last night.
Race 2: Husker Happyfeet could dance her way to a win with her blazing box
speed. She is in with several grade drops but appears to be the fastest to
the front. Late speed could steal her thunder and Odd Rover could be the one
to score the win.
Race 4: Lamorge Hariet has been a perfect quiniela finisher this month. This
is the first time in over a month that Hariet (2) has drawn this close to
the rail. Kelsos Egomaniac (8) has won two races in his last six lines-both
from post eight.
Race 6: Reward Trent is seeking the hat trick tonight. The speedster
faces-off with veteran Greys Bricklayer who, if he breaks quickly, could
steal the win. El Moonstruck is seeking his fourth win in seven starts and
should be a favorite as well as the late speedster Kiowa Molli Boo. Pennys
Bullrun should not be discounted from the Superfecta.
Race 7: Campbell kennel has imported several greyhounds from Palm Beach.
Backwood Country is one of them and boasts a perfect record. The young pup
schooled well and will be tested among the veterans in this grade D field.
Race 8: Rainingonsunday and Greys Blak Smith will be favorites in this top
grade 660-yard race.
Race 9: Backwood Terri, a littermate to Country in race five, also makes his
Derby Lane debut. Jack's Streak is the class of the field and is overdue for
a victory.
Race 10: Flying Nirvana's streak was halted last week but the 63-pound
female is poised for the top grade win against TMC's Trail Boss that went
box to wire in his last outing and TK Rapala who has been a consistent
trifecta finisher.
Race 12: DE's Spun is seeking the hat trick for the top McAllister kennel
but might not collect the win against Deco Essa who has been running well.
Jack's Bella, a grade A drop is the program favorite from the two post.

WEEKEND NEWS
Lots of great races this weekend include St. Pete Derby winner Greys Touch
Gold who is seeking back to back wins Saturday night. Flying Macbeth is
seeking the hat trick in race six Saturday and Red Dirt Road is going for
five straight in race ten Saturday night.
Many of you have written in regards to (T) races. Here at Derby Lane when
there is a Grade T race, it represents a couple of issues. For example,
tonight (Friday) the Daily Double features two grade T races. In race one,
the T race is a TB. The letter that always follows the "T" is the highest
grade in a race. The "T" in this race represents two entries from the same
kennel. The 5 and 6 greyhound are both from the Filipelli & O'Donnell
kennel. The race is a TB because the highest grade in the race is a B.
Race two tonight (Friday) is a TM. It is a Maiden race with two entries from
the Wayne Ward kennel. A grade "T" race can also have a kennel with two
entries and two different race grades in it. I hope the information helps

FRIDAY notes:
Race 1: WW Shys Drawing who was a finalist in last month's Derby should
score the first half of the Daily Double from post two.
Race 2: Wayne Ward kennel is debuting pups from 2004 All-American Ethereal
Force. Although Force never raced at Derby Lane, his owner is a FL resident
and some of our fans watched and wagered on Force via simulcast when he won
back to back Night of Stars races from Raynham. DD's Alpinias debuts in
maiden after a six-length schooling romp this past Tuesday night.
Race 6: Legends Field is seeking a back to back win against Flying Chain who
recently returned from competing at Mardi Gras.
Race 7: Dream Warrior is poised to shake off last week's troubled race and
focus on a win. The new pup shows much promise and is the morning line
favorite.
Race 8: Rainingonsunday, the sister to Red Dirt Road gave a winning effort
Tuesday night and was nosed out at the wire. She drew the seven last outing
and will break from the outside eight tonight.
Race 9: With no speed near him Kiowa Manley should rush to the lead and if
the rain holds off tonight he could go all the way.
Race 10: Kiowa AK Kieffer always gives 100% in a race. He is overdue for a
win. He will break from post two but could be challenged early by Flying
Swindler who will be next to him in box three.
Race 11: Margaret Roban Bridges who co-owns Red Dirt Road appears to have
sent another promising pup to St. Pete. Swift Lightening won her maiden race
Monday night by six lengths and could repeat tonight.
Race 15: Kiowa Girl Ted could close out Friday night's card with a hat
trick.
SATURDAY matinee:
Race 2: Fast N Smart and WW Deana Bits both schooled impressively and
compete in their first maiden race today. Flying Sidekick could win the race
as he has had 21 official maiden starts and knows the Derby oval well.
Race 3: Daring Run and Extreme are both pups on the watch list. Run's
brother Daring Fella went box to wire Thursday night and Extreme's
littermate Dream Warrior caught attention in his maiden victory.
Race 4: DD's Ross Moss is another of Ward's Ethereal pups beginning their
career. DD's Alpinias is featured Friday night.
Race 6: Ebor Hero and Craigie Mr Venus will be the popular quiniela in this
field. Kay Buffalo Bill could be a late threat. He just returned and prefers
the 660-yard distance.
Race 7: Victory King Me appears to be ready for racing after three troubled
races. King Me won back to back races staring his career but encountered bad
racing luck in grade C. He posted an easy box to wire run in Tuesday's
schooling and could move up another grade today.
Race 10: Silver Draft could post a repeat win from the repeat rail pole
where he won from Wednesday afternoon. Flying Regent and Jack's Rapidfire
should also give strong efforts.
SATURDAY evening:
Race 1: TMC's Mightyfine who was shipped from Flagler earlier this season
has been off since May. He dominated in his two required schoolers and is
fresh to kick off the Saturday night card.
Race 3: DD's Petunia is a third Ethereal Force pup to compete this weekend
but might have to take a back seat to Craigie Accent if she gets her way.
Race 4: Jack's Viper drew a favorable rail post. Although he has been
omitted as a favorite in the program, he could sneak a win in if he gets
loose early.
Race 6: Flying Macbeth is going for three in a row. This TA field includes
two McAllister entries. The second is Flying Snap Off. Both greyhounds
helped McAllister turn in a record-setting season. Both are also keeping him
on top this meet.
Race 8: It's a near Derby repeat with winner Greys Touch Gold; runner up Fly
Bye Popstar and Derby finalist Sheriff Dawson all seeking the eighth race
win. Touch Gold will be the favorite from post two.
Race 10: Red Dirt Road is on a roll and hopes to post five straight, and
three in a row for the new season. Flyin Home Depot could challenge Red and
post his own repeat win.
Race 11: Star Trekies will like this greyhound that easily won his first
career start. Spock will compete in his first late race.
Race 12: Ballet Lady who has recorded six consecutive quiniela finishes
hopes to continue her streak. She will be among the favorites that include
Kiowa Ice Man and Flying Havana-two solid Grade A's.
Race 13: Evening Blossom alerted fans that the new Maryville Rumble* x
Valoris litter had arrived when she dominated schooling and recorded a back
to back win Tuesday. She will be a favorite tonight.
Race 15: Kelsos Corkhill hopes to wrap up the weekend racing with three
consecutive wins. Bobbye's Donjuan could be an upset winner.
Kaias Sequoyah seeks 4 straight tonight
La Rosa Enterprises Kaias Sequoyah has been a top grade contender during the
past three years. He has been featured in several stakes races and held
fastest times. Now, the La Rosa male is getting his moment in the limelight
and is currently top dog. The 73-pound Sequoyah began the new meet with a
vengeance. He is undefeated and seeks four in a row in race eleven Wednesday
night (June 16). Sequoyah is well known for his blazing speed over the
550-yard course. The impressive male is a veteran that is eyeing his fourth
birthday in September. Sequoyah has been installed as the morning line
favorite against Ballet Lady who drew her favorite rail post.
Sequoyah who has been overshadowed by kennelmate Red Dirt Road hopes he can
hog the glory for a while longer. Kaias Sequoyah's race is the first half
of the Twin Trifecta. This jackpot is forced out every Wednesday night.
Gold Trophy Juvenile winner Craigie Mr Venus and the powerful Flying Macbeth
will go "paw to paw" in the back half of the Twin Tri in race 13.

Matinee
Race 1: Leta's Alibi gave a winning effort last and could take the win.
Race 2: Craigie Afresh a nice looking pup in the Abernathy kennel makes her
debut in the back half of the Daily Double.

victory in race four and Extreme who won by seven in his maiden debut hopes

this field if he gets loose.
Race 12: Rooftop Judias is seeking the hat trick but Silver Draft who has
also been off for several weeks is returning today after a schooling win

Wednesday Night - Twin Trifecta Jackpot is Forced Out
Race 1: Kaias Starling, a litter sister to Kaias Sequoyah, could be an upset
winner in the first half of the Daily Double.
Race 2: Seaquest who turned four years old last February won't hear of
retirement and could be the second half Daily Double winner.
Race 3: Ben Nevis a litter brother to Evening Blossom makes his Maiden debut
tonight and is expected to be the betting favorite.
Race 6: This top grade field should see M's Westpoint shoot out on top with
valiant efforts by Ebor Hero and Kiowa Boy. Although he drew the six post
Flying Eagle is a solid Grade A and could steal the show.
Race 8: Flying Midnight who clocked the season's fastest time of 37.14 in
her last start is part of a stakes caliber field featuring Derby runner-up
Fly Bye Popstar and Derby finalist Castle Princess. Midnite has been
installed as the morning line favorite who can repeat if she takes the early
lead. Don't discount UCME Fastromance who is a consistent top grade finisher
over the longer course.
Race 10: Dermatophyte is well overdue for a victory. Law's Titan could upset
from the unfavorable one post as well as BD's Foxworth who has turned in two
notable second place finishes.
Race 11: First half of the Twin Trifecta- KAIAS SEQUOYAH seeks four in a row
Race 13: Second half Twin Trifecta-Jackpot Forced Out! Craigie Mr Venus and
Flying Macbeth go "paw to paw".

Derby Lane is one of the most beautiful racetracks in the world. Humans are
not the only ones that visit the St. Petersburg facility. A wood duck has
joined the fans that visit the track. We were able to get close enough to
him to see that he has been marked from the bracelet on his foot in the
water! This duck may not want to go home after visiting here. He will have a"tail" to tell when he meets up with his friends. Who knows? Wood duck may
be the next best handicapper!
While I am away.Keep an eye out for Extruding Dream's pups debuting the week
of July 7th. All four pups won their July 1 schoolers. Three of the four
will complete the three required schoolers on July 4. The pups are Dream
Warrior, Dream Deliverer, Dream Doll and Exceeded Dream. All are
littermates whelped from USS Top Dolly. We wish trainer Doug Flint and Magic
City connections all the best with the first pups on track out of Derby Lane
's former superstar!

Red Dirt Road wrapped up the 2007-2008 meet as "top dog". Red Dirt Road will
be among Derby Lane's 2008 nominations for the All America Awards. Red Dirt
Road's owner Margaret Roban Bridges is holding the award plaque presented to
her on June 28 during Red's on track walk of fame. Afterwards, Red Dirt Road
met fans and posed for autographs. The record-setting son of former
All-American Ben Awhile will begin to compile new stats in July.
Flying Macbeth was on course for the season's best times over both
distances. In the eleventh hour Red Dirt Road, who is Macbeth's biggest
nemesis, nosed out Macbeth's season's fastest time of 30.07. Red Dirt Road
set a new season's fastest time of 30.06 on June 27.
Although Macbeth's top dog and season's best sprint time was snatched away, the dual distance athlete walked away with the season's fastest distance time of 37.14 and the third fastest time of 37.21. Over the 550-yard course
Macbeth held two of the top ten fastest times. While Red was burning up the
550-yard oval in the final weeks of the meet, Flying Macbeth was going the distance and landed a spot in the St. Petersburg Derby where he finished a respectable third.

THE DERBY WINNER!
For over a decade trainer John Graham of the Wayne Ward kennel has waited to
capture a first time Consolation. The kennel has won nearly every stakes over the years but had not captured a Consolation until June 28.

TOP GUNS AT DERBY LANE
Magic City will be gunning for the wins when his recent litter sired by 2006
Flashy Sir winner and All-American Extruding Dream become active. Extruding
Dream became the first greyhound in Derby Lane history to set track records
over both the sprint and distance in a single season. He did so during
stakes race competitions bouncing back and fourth from sprints to distance
races. He just missed making the final of the first Derby Lane Million, but
nearly upstaged the final when he set a track record over the 550-yard
course with a Consolation victory. And, as he was winding down his career
he scored the Inaugural win in 2007 against America's superstar Flying
Stanley. Extruding Dream is one of Impossible Dream's most prominent sons. Now, Extruding Dream has his shot at sire. His litter is schooling at the moment and turned heads this past Tuesday when all four won their races.
Tuesday's schooling saw Magic City pups win five of the six official races.

Dolly won. Magic City also won with Reward Trent, a litter brother to
Reward Dee who clocked the fastest time on Monday night.
All four of Extruding Dream's pups will appear in the July 4 schooling.
Dream Warrior is seeking three in a row. Exceeded Dream and Dream Doll will
wrap up their third required schooler. The littersister Dream Deliverer won her first schooler and will need two more official schoolings before she can become active.
ANOTHER "AWESOME BLOSSOM?"
A new season means new pups and familiar bloodlines that could bloom into
another superstar. D'Arcy kennel's Evening Blossom debuts tonight (July 3)
in race four. She is the younger sister of a repeat breeding (Maryville
Rumble* x Valoris) that produced last year's All-American Dreamy Blossom.

Twin Tri forced out every Wednesday night
Monday night's season finale forced all the jackpots out and a new meet has
begun. The Twin Trifecta is forced out every Wednesday night and the jackpot
starts over $1,000 in today's matinee. It will build for tonight's races.
The Twin Trifecta is played in races 11 and 13.

2008-2009 Season Begins Tonight!
McAllister wraps up record-setting season
Last night wrapped up the 2007-2008 meet. All jackpots were forced out. The
top McAllister kennel won the final race of the night with Kay Cocoa Puff
who was the bet favorite. The husband/wife team of Malcolm and Barbara
McAllister racked up staggering stats for Derby Lane's first year-round meet
and set an unprecedented bar for the new meet. The kennel had 3,182 total
starts with 643 wins, 526 seconds, 433 thirds and 394 fourths. Cal Holland
kennel finished second with 425 wins in 3,485 starts. Charter was third with
411 winners out of 2,991 starts. Filipelli & O'Donnell who was top kennel
last meet wrapped up the 07-08 meet in fourth place with 402 winners out of
2,977 starts. Floyd & Porter completed the top five kennels with 395 wins in
2,645 starts. The statistics start over today (July 1) and run through June 30, 2009.
Fans wagering on the Tri-Super in races five and seven watched the Floyd &
Porter kennel win both races. Dixieland Cindy won the grade A race and
brought in the first half of the winning 6-8-1 combination that paid
$238.80. All of the first-half winners cashed in the back half. M's Sweet
Ethan won race seven that saw the (7-6-3-8) combination pay $176.40 for the
all-all-all-all.
The Twin Trifecta, which is played in races 11 and 13, saw Raines kennel's
Designer Style upset the favorite for the win paying $12.40. Designer Style
led the 1-5-7 first half combination that returned $241.20 for each winning
ticket. Fans exchanged their winning ticket for a shot at the jackpot
forced out in race 13. Wayne Ward kennel's WW Snowcone froze the
competition and took quick control for a handy win. Snowcone (8) was
followed by Kay Billythekid (1) and Flying Jay Z (4) that paid $5,767.30 for
each winning ticket.

Congratulations Teresa Wall, New Dundalk Director
The Irish Greyhound Board announced yesterday that Teresa Wall has been
appointed a Director of Dundalk Greyhound Stadium. Last November Teresa was
on holiday in St. Petersburg, FL and was among the honored guests at Derby
Lane. Teresa and her husband Michael along with Michael and Rita Fortune
helped the top McAllister kennel celebrate their Fall Juvenile victory.
